It provides for two completely different playthroughs. You also get penalised for slaughtering people through the good/evil system they have in the game. It totally changes the ending and how the game unravels as you play through it. There's also a huge light and dark impact on the game. You can use it every few seconds without costing mana(Like ten seconds) or you can chain two blinks together and use all your mana.
